THE HINE GROUP

Founded in 1968 by William Hine, The Hine Group has developed an unsurpassed reputation for the construction and development of luxury residential, conventional residential housing and mixed use communities.  Richard Hine represents the second generation of The Hine Group and has successfully developed properties and projects in New York, Florida and, most recently, Virginia. 

The Hine Group is now headquartered in Harrisonburg, VA and has quickly established itself as the “go to firm” in the Shenandoah Valley for quality residential and mixed-use development.  The Hine Group is the first western Virginia firm to be certified by EarthCraft for its incorporation and use of sustainable construction practices and techniques. 

Hine has worked as developer, design consultant, and builder of Preston Lake in Harrisonburg, worked with Great Eastern Resorts to design and entitle its upcoming Massanutten Station Resort Village and Condominium Project, and with Homewood Communities to design and construct its Continuing Care Community in Strasburg, VA. 

The Hine Group has built and sold over 3,000 residential units (some of these projects are chronologically outlined in a more detailed attachment herein) and completed a myriad of commercial, office and industrial projects over its 40 year history.  Richard Hine, his wife and seven children live in the Shenandoah Valley in McGayhesville, VA.
